It is the capital of the canton of Voiron and has been part of the Grenoble-Alpes M\u00e9tropole since 2010. Voiron is located 25 km (16 mi) northwest of Grenoble and 85 km (53 mi) southeast of Lyon. Its roughly 20,000 inhabitants are the Voironnais.<br \/>\nVoiron, along with Chamb\u00e9ry and Grenoble, is a gateway city of the Chartreuse Mountains in the Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kreis Herford<\/strong><br \/>\nHerford (German pronunciation: [\u02c8h\u025b\u0281f\u0254\u0281t]) is a Kreis (district) in the northeastern part of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Neighboring districts are Minden-L\u00fcbbecke, Lippe, the urban district of Bielefeld, and the districts G\u00fctersloh and Osnabr\u00fcck.  The district is located between the three mountain chains of the Wiehen Hills in the north and the Teutoburg Forest in the south.
